Annapolis, MD

As indicated in my previous post we were on our way to Annapolis via the western shore of the Chesepeak. Once we disconnected the falty sensor, our engines kicked right back into gear and we arrived at the Yacht Basin Marina in Annapolis just about 4 pm. Took on fuel and detailed the boat. It was a late dinner last night but nevertheless it was superbe. We ate at Piccola Roma Reastaurant right up the street from the marina in the center of town.
Today was a beautiful morning and as the day progressed it got hotter and reached 90 F.
Kevin Cory came for breakfast and was kind enough to lend us his car for the day so we could drive our west to visit with Marin and Vanessa to see their newly purchased 12 acres of forest. It certainly is primarily forest with it’s own creek to give a cooling respite to the wery visitor or the hard working owners. It is a beautiful peace of nature and perfect for deflating from all the stress acuminated in the “rat race world”. Good job Vanessa and Marin on finding this peace of respite and peace offering land! Good luck and many blessings!
Later on in the day we were visited by our second group of visitors: Kevin and Ann Cory with their lovely daughter Reed. It was good to see them all and catch up on life’s events and simply just be together! Dinner was held at a historic building from 1850 downtown Annapolis, the Middleton Pub. Thank you Kevin, Ann and Reed for coming to visit with us!
It was another late night for us but it was worth it.
Just about resting time a storm passed through alarming us to some unusual activity on the boat. After taking down the cockpit fly and the storm passing quickly all was well and we were ready for a good night’s sleep.

Dear Joe & Nada,
This post ended with going to sleep. I was wondering: Is it easy to fall asleep and sleep through the night on the boat? Do you feel “woozy” in the morning?
Love,
Kristina
Being on the water all day long makes one go to sleep fast and deep. The morning comes fast and we usually rise early to be on the move by 7 or so to get to our next destination early afternoon. Sometimes we have 12 Hr days too.
Woozy, forget about that, too much action is happening to be woozy!
A full day on water and sun makes one tired and sleeping has not been an issue!
Good night’s sleep and an early morning rise filled with lots of action wakes you up fast!
No problem here!
